Yes Nottingham has its very own stadium, fully equipped for those massive concerts from huge bands such as Radiohead, The White Stripes and, gulp, Busted, who frequently call at the city on their major tours. Holding up to 10,000 people it can feel a little impersonal, as with any arena gig, but get your standing tickets early and push your way to the front, and you’ll see that, in this case, size doesn’t matter. (Hard-Fi, Arcade Fire and Kings of Leon are on the way soon)
Home to the National Ice Centre too, so there’s much more to this seemingly homogenous place than you might first think. Try to avoid the weekends though.
