Situated near the arena, this is a most attractive bar with a good range of drinks for real ale fans and an airy friendly atmosphere. The outside seating can be particularly nice on a warm day, or move inside when it’s raining - either way it’s a nice change from Nottingham’s abundant chain-bars.
The main interest for indie music fans, however, is the upstairs venue for live music. Investigating this can turn up some rare finds indeed. Some acts are on their way to the big time, some are no less brilliant but gave up their chance of that a long time ago. Either way, you’ll have to keep your ear to the ground. A venue used in the past by notable local promoters such as Damn You!, expect to see Highsoc put that lovely space to good use in the weeks to come.
