We tried to find the right words to describe these lovely dears, but at the end of the day they have such a flair for rhetoric we thought we’d let them say it themselves:
“Hello my pretties, we are the spirits of Kathleen and Lily…come into our grandmotherly trove and dress up in our riches. Lay athwart that 40s chaise and loosen your cinch while we stitch you a blouse to fit. We don’t rehash, we haberdash. We don’t buy in bulk, we handpick vintage items from the forties to the eighties with love. Our eye is in the detail. The gilt framed brooch display; the buttoned purse lining. We handcraft unique clothes - accessories, soft-furnishings, jewellery, toys and fancy goods - from our floral-papered boutique. Not forgetting the boys. You’re invited to the Kingdom of twee too. We’ll bequeath you a cardie or take up your hems. Avoid the usual tat and don the special.”
Thats basically the shop equivalent of Belle & Sebastian, then.
