Probably Nottingham’s premier independent promoters, Damn You! turn out a number of gigs each month, generally of assured quality. They possess a real DIY ethos that should be envied by all. Coming up trumps last year with shows by Deerhoof, Comets on Fire and Six Organs of Admittance, as well as a tenth birthday extravaganza, DY!’s name on the poster can usually be taken as a seal of approval. The array of bands covers the realms of avant-garde, experimental, hardcore, indie-rock and shoegaze. Nice venues, and friendly fellows as well. Go and say hello, they even come with a highsoc discount meaning that you get advance prices on the door!
