Indicative of our fair Nottingham’s ability to keep itself on the cutting edge of modern music, Futureproof is one of the Midland’s finest showcases for the emerging dubstep phenomenon. For those not up to speed on their “dread bass,” “sub-loaded drums” or “sino-rasta mysticism”, Futureproof serves as a great entry point into this dirty, heavy sound that’s taking over the nation. Still in its infancy, the night has already seen the likes of Vex’d, Milanese, Skull Disco and Bass Clef wreak dance-floor destruction and the new year is likely to see even more names tear up this fine venue.
