Detonate is the big name for Drum and Bass, Hip-Hop, Dubstep and anything remotely gritty and urban in Nottingham. The night works in a similar way to Spectrum - just replace funkiness with rowdiness! Names such as Pendulum, Edan, Andy C, Skream, Benga, Virus Syndicate, Sway and even Ghostface Killah have all played under the Detonate banner. And look out for the all dayers at Rock City that rock into town twice yearly, with the Valve Soundsystem bringing enough bass to level a small Japanese town!
