Those disillusioned or looking for something a little different from Nottingham’s nightlife should hotfoot it (quite literally, as it’s located in the mean streets of Radford!) to Demo - Nottingham’s only charity Club Night. Hosted once a month by Nottingham Uni students and general good eggs, Demo donates all its profits to a different charity each month and the nights are centred around raising awareness of major world issues - but don’t let that put you off, it’s a lot of fun! The night strives to create a relaxed clubbing atmosphere - one reflected in an anything-goes music policy - that streches from jungle, dubstep, acoustic artists downstairs - and on one occasion a full piece visiting samba band! With an assortment of freshly-made fairtrade food and the venue’s legendary tall English ciders on hand, Demo is your only chance to go out, get messy and not feel guilty the next day.
