The Malt Cross is a fantastic little cafe-by-day/bar-by-night joy tucked away just off Market Square. Right next door to the Cookie Club (if that helps?), The Malt Cross serves a range of teas and coffee based beverages in the day, along with some really great food - baguettes, salads and nice little gooey cakes. In the evening they put on a number of different nights, including acoustic nights, dj’s and bands playing on the balcony.
But the best bit about The Malt Cross is the building itself - it reminds me of a little mini train station, with one of those big glass roofs - go in and it will make sense.
It also has two of the best armchairs in Nottingham. Fact.
Coffee, cake and an armchair - what more could you want?
