A favoured haunt of many committee members, Lee Rosy’s is one of the finest non-alcoholic drinking spots in Nottingham. They have over fifty teas (if you get confused you can smell them all, or ask the staff who know their stuff). They also do great coffee and have a good selection of cakes, sandwiches and other culinary delights. It will also satisfy the muso in you; such gems as Neutral Milk hotel, Tom Waits and Arcade Fire can regularly be heard, as well as local types like Swimming and We Show Up On Radar. Now open till 10pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Wi-fi enabled too, but careful with the teapots!
Lee Rosy’s also doubles up as one of Nottingham’s finest little venues for quieter DIY gigs (the stated remit is “nice, quiet music, no drums please”). Library Tapes, The Exploits of Elaine, Nalle, Ill Ease and Daniel AIU Higgs (formerly of Lungfish) are among the artists to have performed.
